Product Description
Type Vintage lever filling fountain pen.
Product Name Unknown.
Manufacturer and Year Superite, USA -- circa late 1920s.
Length Fountain pen is 4-15/16" long, and the pencil is 5-5/16" long
Filling System The fountain pen is a lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working well. We guarantee the filling system for a year from the date of purchase. The pencil takes 1.1mm leads, which feed in through the tip. Twisting the piece at the end of the barrel extends the lead.
Color Both pieces are marked "1/20 gold filled". The surfaces are decorated with a lined pattern that includes stacks of plain boxes. The groups of lines alternate with plain gold spaces. The pen's section is black.
Nib MEDIUM FLEXIBLE 14k nib. See our writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition with no dents or dings. This is a slim, shiny, elegant set. Fountain pen: The pen looks excellent overall. There is microscratching all over both the cap and barrel. The cap has a ring brassing around the top edge. The clip has plating wear on the high spots and along the edges. The barrel has brassing at the front portion, in the threads for the cap. The lever bar has brassing and some plating wear along the sides. The end of the barrel has some plating wear. There's a long scratch on the barrel. Mechanical pencil: The pencil looks fantastic, with light microscratching all over. There is plating wear around the top finial/twist top piece, and just below this on the end of the barrel. The clip has some plating wear along the sides. The cone has some touches of brassing and a few tiny, shallow dings. The imprints on both pieces are clear. Ships in a small velvet lined box. The outer surface has some wear, but is overall in great condition and protects the pen and pencil very well.
