Type  Demonstrator fountain pen

Product Name  Prototype #14

Manufacturer and Year  Chris Thompson Pens, 2002.  Thompson was known for taking pen parts from vintage pens (such as the Parker Duofold and Sheaffer Balance) and creating replicas.  This is marked as proto-type and does not appear to be one of his replica pens.

Length  5-3/4"

Filling System  Cartridge/converter filler.  An ink cartridge will be included.

Color Clear Acrylic with gold filled trim. Amber stone imbedded at the tip of the cip.

Nib  Medium or fine 14k Two-Tone  nib, we can't decide which, though it's closer to medium.

Condition   Near ,mint condition.  This is an oversized classic demonstrtor with lovely trim.   There are some criss-cross scratches toward the end of the barrel (inside surface) and a few flecks under the surface of the barrel in a couple of places.  There is chipping on the inside of the lip of the cap, but it's covered by the band and cannot be seen from the outside.  There are a few under the surface marks on the cap just above the band.  Otherwise, the cap is very nice.  All the trim and the clip is excellent.  The imprint is clear.

Payment Policy: Paying via Credit Card or PayPal are the only methods allowed for addresses outside the United States. Customers from the United States also have the option of sending a check, money order or cashier's check. Payment method is selected during checkout.

Domestic US Shipping Policy: For the most part, shipping to US addresses is free and is made via first class mail.

International Shipping PolicyInternational shipping is based on weight, and we give you a choice (depending on country) of first class, first class registered, priority mail or express delivery (only Express Mail provides true tracking). Internatonal shipments valued at over $40 come with free insurance, unless that service is not available for your specific country. Most of our customers opt for the very reasonably priced first class mail method, which can take anywhere from one to four weeks. We are happy to discuss alternatives to the options currently offered during the checkout process, so please contact us if you'd like a quote.

Most countries charge customs fees on shipments from the United States, but this is not something we can estimate and there is no way to pay these fees in advance. It is the responsibility of the customer to anticipate these costs and pay them when they are assessed by your country or postal system. We have heard that shipments valued at 50 EU or more get assessed fees in EU countries, for example.

UK customers please note: Packages valued at over $18 are subjected to both an administrative charge and a tax by UK customs and Royal Mail. Sorry, this is not something we can predict or pay in advance.
