Product Name Unknown, though we have seen this nib on Merlins so we are concluding it is a pen made in Europe
Manufacturer and Year Unknown manufacturer or year, but the personalization is from 1939.
Length 5-3/8"
Filling System Lever filler. A new sac has been installed and it's working well.
Color Sterling silver over black hard rubber. The silver has lines of little boxes, then plain lines of the same width. The end of the barrel is black and has threads for posting. The pen is personalized: "WJF Pharo 1939". There are hallmarks on the cap and barrel.
Nib Fine Flexible 14k nib. See writing sample below. There's a bit of a bulge at the base of the nib, but it does not affect ink flow or writing.
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks, chips, or dings. This is a unique pen that has great shine. The barrel has just some microscratching. The area at the top of the lever has a small dent. The black end piece has marks most likely caused by posting. The cap has light scratching. The clip, which we believe is a silverplated replacement, has plating wear at the top and end. The pen is personalized: "WJF Pharo 1939".
