Product Description
Type Vintage ring top fountain pen
Product Name Tempoint #2 - the barrel is marked Wahl Tempoint Fountain Pen, and the end of the barrel is marked with a 2.
Manufacturer and Year Wahl, USA, circa 1910s or 20s.
Length 3-11/16" (probably the smallest size)
Filling System Eyedropper filler, restored with a new sac. We'll include instructions on filling this pen, and a little silicone grease to lubricate the threads and seal the ink inside.
Color Black hard rubber in a wavey chased pattern with probably gold filled trim (you can just make out part of a marking on the top piece that looks like it probably says what fraction of gold filled the trim is.
Nib SEMI-FLEX EXTRA FINE Wahl Tempoint Pen #2 nib in nice condition. It's got appropriate tipping, very fine, but still intact. Not quite full flex, but much better than average daily flex. You can get quite a bit of line variation from this nib, but it takes more pressure than some.
Condition Excellent condition. No real scratching and little wear on the pen. There's just some microscratching on the trim and a tiny bit of wear on the ring top. The hard rubber is a bit discolored to a lighter color except for where the cap covers, and one band on the lower cap where there was probably an original sticker protecting it from the sun for a long time. No cracks or chips. The imprints are clear and readable.
