Product Description
Type Vintage fountain pen
Product Name Wahl Pen, the nib is marked "Wahl 4."
Manufacturer and Year Wahl, USA -- 1921-29.
Length 4-5/8" (capped). This may have been the largest size Wahl Pen.
Filling System The fountain pen is a lever filer. A new sac has been installed and it is working well.
Color Gold filled "Greek Key" pattern. The gold fill overlay is over black hard rubber.
Nib FINE FLEXIBLE 14k Wahl #4 nib with strong line variation. Almost full flex. Please see the writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition, with some damage to the section and marks on the nib. There is a section of missing gold filled metal on the section near the nib, and some tool marks on the nib. The cap and barrel both have microscratching, but the plating is in fairly good shape with no dents or personalization. Some brassing on the edges of both ends. The cap imprint is legible. Despite the cosmetic issues with the pen, it's got a wonderfully flexible nib and will be a joy to write with.
