Product Description
Type Vintage vacumatic filling fountain pen.
Product Name Doric
Manufacturer and Year Wahl Eversharp, USA -- 1930s
Length 5"
Filling System Vacumatic (piston) filler. This was called the "One shot" vacuum filling system by Eversharp and is modeled after the Sheaffer vac-fil system. We've restored the filling system and it's working very well.
Color They called this striped green marble finish "Green Shell." It has a large viewing area with a wired or "reticulated" pattern. Gold filled trim with a 1/8" cap band.
Nib FLEXIBLE FINE 14k Eversharp nib. It is labeled, "Flexible," on the nib itself and offers good line variation. We consider this fully flexible, but not a wet noodle. The tines spread with a little resistance but move well. Please see the writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition. The green color is great as is the transparency of the viewing section. There is brassing on the clip, but the cap band looks good, and the cap imprint is clear. The pen is personalized "Mildred E Fisher". No cracks, chips, or dents. The pen is fully restored and working well.
