Product Description
Type Fountain pen with a flexible nib.
Product Name This is one of the Equi-Poised Gold Seal models with the seal mounted above the clip, with a roller clip, and three-ring cap band (two narrow bands surrounding one wider decorated band). The seal is not "punched" which is what they did when they replaced the nib. It has the tapered Equi-Poised shape, but we're not sure to which exact series it belongs, officially.
Manufacturer and Year Wahl Eversharp, USA, early 1930s
Length 5-3/16"
Filling System Lever filler. We have restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Brazilian Green - a lovely mottled green and bronze with gold trim. There are the aforementioned three bands at bottom of the cap, as well as a very thin one near the top.
Nib Fine nib, labeled "Wahl Eversharp 14k Gold Seal Manifold". The back of the feed is stamped with an "F" for fine. Firm and smooth.
Condition Very nice condition with no cracks. The cap and barrel have light scratching. There are bite marks at the end of the barrel, and a small chip on the end. The lever has some plating wear along the sides. The cap has a short teeny crack in the lip, barely 1mm long, so we recommend taking extra care with the cap and not dropping it or posting it vigorously. The cap bands look great. The clip has brassing, and plating wear on the sides of the ball. The gold seal looks nice. The imprint on the clip is clear.
