Product Description
Type Vintage fountain pen
Product Name Equi-poised Gold Seal .... this is not the later long slender version of the equi-poise, this is more stout with slightly domed ends. The first version of the Equi-poised pens had very pointy ends, and there's a big discussion on Fountain Pen Board as to whether the change was as the result of pressure from Sheaffer over the design similarities to Balance. In any case, these two early versions are very uncommon, and were replaced by the long slender design Equi-poised design.

Condition Excellent condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a shiny, pretty, black pearl pen that has a true vintage look. The pearl bits have good color preservation with just a few of them taking on a light caramel color. The barrel has marks caused by the cap lip and mainly light scratching with more moderate scratching on either side of the lever. The cap has light scratching with a few long thin scratches and a bit of moderate scratching alongside the end of the clip. The double cap band has light microscratching. The clip has light microscratching. The Wahl emblem above the clip looks great. The imprints are clear.
