Product Description
Type Lever filling vintage fountain pen, restored and working well.
Product Name Pacemaker
Manufacturer and Year Wahl Eversharp, made in U.S.A. -- circa 1938-'41
Length 5 inches.
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Green cap and barrel with gold plated trim.
Nib FLEXIBLE MEDIUM gold nib marked Wahl 3 14k 0.585 Made in USA. Unusual marking, perhaps the nib was meant for export. It's smooth with lovely tipping material, and it's just under what we would call fully flexible, with easy line variation from medium to broad under light pressure, and up to a nice double broad with a little more weight.
Condition Very nice condition. No cracks or chips, dings, dents, or personalization. There's some brassing along the edges of much of the trim, very common with these Pacemakers, and plating wear on the ball of the clip, while the lever has lost nearly all its plating. Minor scratching shows on the cap and barrel, but the imprint is still clear and readable. The pen has been fully restored and it's working very well.
