Nib Waterman's Ideal New York gold nib. Very smooth, full flex from extra fine to broad. Very nice hairlines, very responsive. See writing sample.
Condition Excellent + condition. in a nice little box with good graphics, with no cracks, dents, chips, or dings. The pen is a nice, shiny, dark color with slightly faded, yet visible chasing. There are some light bite marks at the end of the barrel. The box has a little wear on the corners, but the printing is vivid. The imprints are clear.
Please note that during restoration we discovered a hairline crack in the safety "spiral" rod. The crack did not go all the way thru and we reinforced it with two part epoxy. We tested the pen extensively, and we are confident the spiral will work fine, but as with any vintage pen you do not want to force the filling mechanism or use harsh corrosive inks. We guarantee filling systems for one year from purchase.
