Color Black chased hard rubber with gold filled wide cap band with floral engraving. No ring hardware on the top, but there's no hole to indicate it ever had a ring, so it must have been a vest pocket model.
Nib Waterman's Ideal Canada gold nib is a fine with good tipping material. Soft feeliong and fully flexible with line variation from extra fine to double broad. See writing sample below.
Condition Excellent + condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a small, thin pen that is simply but elegantly designed, including its ornate one-half inch cap band. The black color has faded to a dark chocolate brown. The chasing has some wear but it is still visible. The barrel band etching is deep and clear -- the band has some light scratching that is only visible in the blank area. The imprints on the barrel are slightly warn but readable. The Waterman imprint on the band is clear (see photos).
