Color Black chased hard rubber with a 9/16" gold filled barrel band. The band has a floral motif and a personalization, "WLH".
Nib FLEXIBLE FINE 14k nib. It is marked Waterman's Ideal New York. Excxellent line variation is attainable with this nib, we consider it full flex. Please see the writing sample below. The back of the nib has a patent imprint that can be made out.
Condition Very nice condition for this slim, elegant, good looking pen. The gold filled band is lovely and although there are some scratches on it and a personalization, the floral motif is fully intact. This pen has been treated with something to darken the hard rubber, with inconsistant results. There are small patches of discoloration on the cap and barrel as well as moderate scratch marks (see photos). The rubber on the end piece of the barrel is particularly worn and scratched. The section has heavy scratching with some deep marks on its upper part. The filling system bar and imprint are in excellent condition. The sleeve imprint is worn and partly legible. The end of the barrel imprint is very clear. The pen has been personalized "WLH". No cracks.
