Manufacturer and Year Waterman, USA - circa 1920s

Color Sterling silver filigree over hard rubber. Black smooth hard rubber end piece and section. The barrel and cap are covered with a cut out basketweave sterling filigree design which has been etched.
Nib The nib is marked Manifold Waterman's Ideal Reg. 2. The tip is medium with no real flex, but it feels very smooth and a little soft. It has very good tipping material.
Condition Very nice condition, with a few cosmetic issues but no cracks or missing parts. The clip is excellent with no wiggle. Some dents along the top edge, and a thin lip of sterling along the top edge is mssing (see photo). The sterling around the lever box is a little rough, probably as the result of a lever box replacement or repair (not done by us). The imprint around the end of the barrel in the hard rubber is good and readable, but the barrel end (number) imprint isn't readable. No personalization engraving.
