Filling System Lever filler (We have replaced the bladder and it works very well.)
Color Sterling silver filigree over hard rubber. Black smooth hard rubber end piece and section. The barrel and cap are covered with a cut out basketweave sterling filigree design which has been etched.
Nib The nib is marked Waterman's Ideal Reg US Pat Off 2. The tip is medium and has good flex. Please see our writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition. There are four fine cracks in the cap near the lip; they are visible in each of the lowest open areas of the overlay (two are clearly visible in the first photo below) but do not extend beyond that. Some do reach the cap threads, though we don't notice any roughness when screwing the cap on or off. The silver overlay is holding the cap together, so these are not in danger of chipping off or worsening. The clip is excellent with no side-to-side wiggle. The edge of the section has a tool mark. The barrel overlay and hard rubber all look quite nice. The imprints near the end of the barrel are smoothed down but readable.
