Product Name Model 52 1/2, clearly marked on the end of the barrel.
Manufacturer and Year Waterman - circa 1920s
Length 5-1/4" long, full length and slender.
Filling System Lever filler. We have replaced the bladder and it's working very well.
Color Black hard rubber, very faded. The clip and lever mechanism are both nickel-plated.
Nib FLEXIBLE FINE Waterman's Ideal New York #2 nib. It's got great flex, with beautiful crosslines and variation all the way to double broad. See our writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition. The black hard rubber has faded significantly, and much of the body is olive-colored. The chased surface is largely smoothed down, but you can still see the shadows of the pattern. Very little scratching, and no chips or cracks. The clip and lever both have brassing and plating wear, but no serious pitting. The imprints are smoothed but still readable.
Despite the faded color, it's a lovely pen, and the nib is fantastic. Fully restored and working well.
