Product Description

Product Name Model 52 1/2 V (marked on the end of the pen barrel).
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, made in USA – circa 1920s.
Length 4-1/4", excluding ringtop hardware.
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Black chased hard rubber with nickel plated lever, gold-plated ringtop hardware (we frequently see this mix).
Nib FLEXIBLE MEDIUM gold Waterman's IDEAL #2 New York nib is smooth with nice tipping material. It has excellent flex for every day writing, nothing exotic, with easy line variation from a medium to double broad. There are a lot of scratches on the surface of the nib, but good tipping material. See writing sample below.
Condition Very nice condition. There is a tiny (1/16") crack in the cap lip, which we've detailed in the photos, so we suggest that if you are going to post it you do so with care. The chasing is crisp and hard rubber is fairly dark, though there is some fading visible when you remove the cap. The barrel end has a lot of dents and toothmarks. The underside of the feed has some toolmarks, and the top of the nib is also scratched. Imprint is a bit smoothed down in the middle, but is still easily readable. The lever tab has a bit of plating wear at the very end, but is otherwise in great shape. No chips, or personalization. It's fully restored and working well.
