Product Description
Type Vintage pen which works beautifully and has a nicely flexible nib.
Product Name Model 52 1/2 V (marked on the end of the pen barrel)
Manufacturer and Year Waterman - circa 1925
Length 4-3/8"
Filling System Lever filler (We have replaced the bladder and it works very well.)
Color Black chased hard rubber with gold plated ring hardware and nickel (?) lever.
Nib PLEASE SEE WRITING SAMPLE BELOW. The nib is marked Waterman Reg Pat Off 2. It is nicely flexible with pleasing line variation ... and has a good amount of tipping material. The line varies from fine or medium fine to about 1.2mm broad. Though these measurments of flex are subjective, we consider this one almost fully flexible, but definitely not a wet noodle. It is silky smooth.
Condition Excellent condition, really great chasing. No cracks or chips. The color is very good. The imprints and chasing are crisp. The trim is very nice with some wear on the nickel (?) plated lever.
This pen writes super smoothly with a good amount of flex. The filling system is working well, and we'll guarantee it for a year.
A word or two about the photos -- 1) there are a few ink dots on the nib close-ups, those are not pits, and 2) The camera angle makes the nib and feed look out of alignment with respect to one another.
