Product Description
Type | Vintage pen which works beautifully and has a very flexible nib. |
Product Name | Model 52 1/2 V (marked in red on the end of the pen barrel) |
Manufacturer and Year | Waterman - circa 1925 |
Length | 4-3/8" |
Filling System | Lever filler (We have replaced the bladder and it works very well.) |
Color | Black chased hard rubber with plated trim (the lever is nickel plated, and the ring on the top is gold plated. We're not sure if this is "wrong," but we've seen this combination a few times). |
Nib | The nib is marked Waterman Ideal New York 2. It is very flexible with excellent line variation ... and has a good amount of tipping material. The line varies from fine (perhaps even extra fine) to broad. Though these measurments of flex are subjective, we consider this one almost fully flexible, but definitely not a wet noodle. Every good spring back. See writing sample. |
Condition
|
Excellent condition, really very nice. No cracks or chips. The color is excellent, almost pitch black. The imprints are crisp and readable. The trim is excellent with only a small amount of wear. This pen writes very smoothly with a serious amount of flex. The filling system is working well, and we'll guarantee it for a year. |
