Type Vintage lever filling fountain pen in a small "ladies" ringtop size with a nicely flexible nib.
Product Name Model 52 1/2 V (marked on the end of the pen barrel). This was the small ladies ringtop version of the classic 52.
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, made in USA -- circa 1920s.
Length 4-5/16" not including the ringtop hardware.
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Red and black woodgrain hard rubber with gold plated trim. The medium width cap band makes up the caps lip to prevent cracks there.
Nib SEMI-FLEXIBLE FINE gold Waterman's Ideal nib is smooth with excellent tipping. It's actually a little more than semi-flexible, with easy line variation from fine to broad, and double broad with light pressure. See our writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition. There are a few tiny scratches on the cap and barrel and a little brassing on the upper edge of the cap band and a couple tiny spots on the lever. No cracks or chips, dings or dents, or personalization. The imprints are all clear and readable. It's fully restored and working well.
