Product Description
Type Vintage lever filling fountain pen with a flexible nib.
Product Name Model 52
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, made in Canada. We are guessing it is from the late 1930s or early 1940s.
Length 5" with cap
Filling System Lever filler. We have replaced the bladder and it works very well.
Color Green marble celluloid (plastic) with flecks of red. Gold plated trim.
Nib FLEXIBLE MEDIUM 14k gold Waterman's Ideal Canada nib. Excellent flexibility from medium to broad with just light pressure - see our writing sample in the photos below.
Condition Excellent + condition. The cap and barrel have light to moderate scratching, with some heavier scratching near the end of the barrel. The lever and lever box are in good shape, with some brassing along the edges. There's an odd area of discoloration on the section - just a weird brown oval shape that runs about halfway around. The cap band and clip both have brassing around the edges and plating wear. No cracks in the cap lip or barrel threads, no chips, dings, dents, or personalization. The color is good, the imprints are clear, and it's fully restored and working well.
