Product Description
Type Vintage pen which works beautifully
Product Name Model 52 (marked on the end of the pen barrel)
Manufacturer and Year Waterman - circa 1920s
Length 5-3/8"
Filling System Lever filler (We installed a new sac and it works very well.)
Color Red and black woodgrain hard rubber with gold plated trim ... the section looks more like the red ripple pattern than the woodgrain.
Nib MEDIUM flexible nib is marked Waterman's Reg. U.S. Pat. Off. 2. It's got nice tipping and nice flex from a medium line to a broad or double broad one. See writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition. There's some brassing on the plating of the lever, but hardly any on the clip, even on the ball where there's almost always some wear. The barrel is a little worn, making the lower imprint on it and the model number on the end of the barrel difficult to read (see photos). No cracks, chips, or tooth marks. The color is excellent. It's a beautiful piece, fully restored and working very well.
