Product Description
Type Vintage lever filling fountain pen.
Product Name Model 52 V (marked on the end of the pen barrel), the "V" makes it the short version of the 52.
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, made in USA - circa 1920s.
Length Just a hair over 4-3/8".
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Black chased hard rubber with nickel plated trim, although the chasing is worn down.
Nib FINE FLEXIBLE Waterman's Ideal 14k #2 nib is smooth. It's almost what we would call fully flexible, with easy line variation from fine to double broad, and even more with a little pressure. See writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition. Chasing is worn off. Imprints are worn, though the larger imprint is a little more readable than it looks in the picture. There is just light wear on the barrel and cap, and the trim shows some basic wear. No cracks or chips, dings or dents, or personalization. It's fully restored and working well.
