Product Name Waterman 54, as identified by the number at the end of the barrel.
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, USA -- 1920s.
Length 5-3/8"
Filling System Lever filler. A new sac has been installed and tested. It's working well.
Color Black chased hard rubber (BCHR) with a silver colored clip.
Nib Medium Flexible Waterman Ideal New York #4 nib. It is smooth and flexes easily. We feel comfortable calling it just shy of full flex. It has good hairlines, despite the width. Please see the writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition. The chasing on the cap is very well defined, though it's mostly smoothed down on the barrel. The color is faded to a dark brown on most of the pen, except for the section and the part of the barrel that sits underneath the cap. The imprint is strong and clear. The lever box looks quite nice, and the clip looks really good. The top of the clip is starting to look brassed, but for the most part, the finish on the metal trim is just a bit dulled. The pen has no dents, cracks, chips, or major marks or scratches. It's working very well.
