Nib The nib is marked RED Waterman's Ideal. The RED mark on the nib was Waterman's classification, indicating normal flexibility. The line varies from medium-fine to broad. See writing sample below.
Condition Excellent + condition. No cracks or chips or personalization. There is some brassing on the clip, as well as plating wear around the ball end. The gold cap band looks great, with just microscratching and some tiny dents along the edge. The color of the cap and barrel has a bit of fading, but is still quite strong. There is some ink staining near the nib, as well as on the cap just below the ball end of the clip. The lever has a bit of plating wear along the edges and around the tab end; the lever box is excellent. This pen writes very smoothly with a good amount of flex. The filling system is working well. The imprints are clear and easily read.
