Product Description
Type Vintage fountain pen
Product Name Though it doesn't have a number on the end of the barrel, it looks just like the Waterman 94 in the Davis/Lehrer.
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, USA, late 1920s
Length 5"
Filling System Lever filler. We've put a new sac in the pen and the filling system works well. Guaranteed for one year from date of purchase.
Color The "Persian" color was originally a swirled mixture of pearl, pink, and light green celluloid, and featured a black section and cap lip. This version has gold plated trim and clip. This celluloid was notorious for not retaining its color over time, and this one is no exception. Much of the color has aged to more of a caramel brown shade, with just the very top of the cap and narrow band at the end of the barrel closer to a warm pearly shade. You can still see the dramatic swirls!
Nib EXTRA-FINE 14k Waterman's Ideal Semi-Flexible nib. Please see writing sample that shows good hairlines and semi-flex.
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. The trim is better than we usually see, with only a few dots of brassing. This is a pretty, shiny vintage pen with intricate coloring that has aged to be inconsistent with darker, greener areas on the cap and a more caramel coloring on the barrel that also has some of the original light glowing pattern. The cap and barrel have moderate scratching. The barrel has marks caused by the cap lip. The lever has light microscratching and small dots of plating wear along the edges of the end disc. The cap band has light microscratching. The black piece under the cap band that peaks out as the cap lip has moderate microscratching. The clip has two dots of pitting on the ball end and light to moderate microscratching. The imprints are clear.
