Product Description
Type Vintage lever filing fountain pen.
Product Name Model 94 (it's marked on the end of the barrel).
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, Made in USA - circa 1930s
Length 5"
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Mahogany celluloid - a lovely reddish brown, marbled with white veins and gold plated trim. The original white has faded to a lovely warm amber, which works beautifully with the mahogany.
Nib FLEXIBLE FINE Waterman's 14k Ideal nib is smooth with nice tipping material. It's a little less than what we would consider fully flexible, with nice easy line variaiton from a fine to a broad. Please see writing sample below.
Condition Very nice condition. There's some light wear on the cap and barrel. There is a fissure in the barrel, visible in the first picture below, that follows a white seam in the material. The crack stops well short of the threads, and with care, should remain stable. There are a couple of small spots of brassing on the lever and a couple of tiny dots of brassing on the clip's ball, but otherwise the plating looks nice. No chips, dings, dents, or personalization. The imprints are clear. It's fully restored and working well.
