Product Description
Type Vintage mechanical pencil
Product Name Blue Ripple. We're not certain which fountain pen went with this pencil, but our best guess is that it is the mate to a blue ripple 52-1/2V pen.
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, USA, 1920s
Length 4-3/8"
Filling System Takes thick style (1.1mm) leads and we will include a packet. Lead extends in the traditional, twist mechanism, but you have to push the lead with your finger to make it retract.
Color Blue hard rubber in a ripple design, with gold plated trim.
Condition Excellent condition. Some brassing on the nose cone and the clip, and the ball end of the clip has some plating wear. The "cap ring" looks great, no brassing. There are a few small scratches at the top, where you unscrew the lid to store leads, but other than that the hard rubber is in quite nice condition, without much handwear. The imprint is a bit worn, but still legible. This pencil looks really nice, and it's working well.
