Filling System Here's the challenge with Waterman CFs: the cartridges and converters are no longer made and are close to impossible to find. To use these pens, most modern day owners resort to refilling the cartridges with a syringe. We will include an empty cartridge with this pen, and a syringe. The folks behind the Vintage Pens shop have designed and made converters that fit this pen, and you may find them available here. As for the ballpoint pen, it's become a bit of a challenge to find a ballpoint refill that works, since Waterman no longer makes these refills. We know the Must De Cartier refills work, but we do not have any in stock, and the one installed in the pen does not write. (The newer Cartiers are Parker compatible and those refills do not fit these old Watermans.) We have found this source in the UK which has compatible refills if you are interested.
Color Barleycorn (Grain d’Orge) gold-plated finish.
Condition Excellent condition in box. The fountain pen looks great. There is microscratching on the cap and barrel, but we cant see any brassing or plating wear. The section has scratches from capping, and there is some plating wear on the gold trim around the nib. The ballpoint pen also looks great, with just microscratching on the cap and barrel. No brassing or plating wear. All of the imprints on both pieces are clear. The set comes in a fabric covered case, which is in excellent condition.
