Filling System Cartridge/converter. Here's the challenge with Waterman CFs: the cartridges and converters are no longer made and are close to impossible to find. To use these pens, most modern day owners resort to refilling the cartridges with a syringe. The owner of this set is lucky though. The pen includes a Waterman's converter and the box still has a dummy cartridge. The ballpoint is unusual in that at first we thought it was a pencil because there's an eraser visible when you pull off the cap, however it writes like a ballpoint. We're not sure what type of ballpoint refill is required ... the current black refill works.
Color Black, probably lacquer bodies with chrome caps. The clips include a gold plated caduceus on a black lacquer circle.
Nib FINE steel nib is smooth and slightly springy.
Condition Excellent + condition in original box with one empty cartridge included. The set is very attractive and shiny. The fountain pen has light scratching on the barrel with one arched scratch toward the middle of the barrel The cap is nice and shiny. The caduceus looks great but the black lacquer circle it rests on has a few small chips in the paint. The ballpoint has some microscratching on the barrel. The cap looks great and the caduceus is in excellent condition. The box top corners are ripped and someone has appliced scotch tape to them. No cracks, chips, dings, or dents. The imprints are clear.
