Product Description
Type Three-piece set - cartridge/converter filling fountain pen, ballpoint, and rollerball.
Product Name Exclusive. This model is often confused with the Executive and sometimes the Gentleman.
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, made in France -- late 1980s to mid-1990s.
Length All three pieces are 5-5/8" long.
Filling System The fountain pen takes international style refills, but some of them are too fat to fit in the barrel. Waterman branded refills are thinner and do fit but the long cartridges are too long. A Waterman converter is installed. The rollerball takes Waterman refills, which are the same as the international standard rollerball refill, thus there are a few third-party alternatives. The rollerball is capped, and has a Waterman refill. The ballpoint requires a specific-to-Waterman refill, tip is extended by clicking the cap portion, and not many alternatives are available. It has a Monteverde-made Waterman format refill installed.
Color Mottled brown pen with paired black and gold bands on the top and bottom of the cap. It has gold plated trim. The sections on the fountain pen and rollerball have a deeply etched striped pattern. The
Nib EXTRA-FINE 18k nib is smooth and just a bit springy with nice tipping material. The feed is marked "EF."
Condition Excellent condition in box for this attractive set. The fountain pen has light scratching on the cap and barrel. The trim has mostly microscratching, with some tiny dings in the edge of the cap top. There are touches of brassing on the trim ring nearest the nib, and some light scratching on the nib's surface. The rollerball pen has mostly light scratching. There are some marks on the cap that could be tooth marks, or the result of dropping the cap. The top edge of the cap also has a ding in it. The barrel end piece has a set of three tiny dings in the edge. The ballpoint pen has microscratching with a couple of tiny marks in the lacquer. Ships in Waterman box.
