Filling System Takes international cartridges and converters. A piston converter is installed. The filling system is accessed by twisting the black end piece counterclockwise and removing the section from the body. Turn the end piece clockwise to reconnect the parts.
Color It's called Red on the box, but it's closer to a deep red or burgundy color. It's difficult to find information on these, as the model was only made for a couple of years, and all of the examples we've had have been ebonite (over metal). This one appears to have a lacquer finish, with some very subtle monotone variations in the color on close inspection. Black end pieces and gold trim. We believe the lcquer pens are more hard to find than the ebonite ones.
Nib MEDIUM 18k two-tone nib, marked M on the feed. It wraps around the feed somewhat.
Condition Excellent + condition, in box with paperwork. The cap and barrel have light sings of usage and microscratching. The front of the section, near the nib, has some light scratching from the cap. The end finial also has scratching and some scuffs around the end. There is microscratching and some polishing marks on the trim, but no brassing or plating wear. Ships in Waterman box, with paperwork and a box of old cartridges under the platform. There's an outer carboard sleeve with the model identified on it.
