Product Description
Type Waterman fountain pen, in box
Product Name Man 100 Patrician.
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, France. 1992-4. (The original Waterman Patrician dated to the 1930's.)
Length 5-11/16"
Filling System Takes international cartridges and converters. A Waterman piston converter is installed. There is also a box of blue Waterman cartridges in underneath the platform; most of the liquid seems to have evaporated from them.
Color Coral Red. It has a mix of bright and dark orange-reds with black end pieces and cap lip. The section is black as well and it has gold plated trim.
Nib BROAD LEFT-OBLIQUE 18k two tone nib. Smooth writer, good tipping material. The back of the feed is labeled OG-L: O for Oblique, G for Gauche or left, and L for Large (but with a French accent!) which means broad, or wide.
Condition Excellent + condition. The serial number (695549) stamped on the section is slightly faded but still readable, and the rest of the imprints are clear. There's a moderate scratch about 1/2" long on the cap, almost halfway around from the clip (looking into the cap opening with the clip at 12 o'clock, the scratch is at about 7). It is well camouflaged by the material. The cap band trim has some small touches of brassing. The clip looks quite good. On the section, the trim band closest to the nib has a chip. The section and barrel end finial have has some scratches from the cap. The barrel has microscratching only. Packaging includes wooden Waterman box, outer cardboard box, a box of cartridges, and booklet. The inner surface of the wooden box is peeling slightly.
