Product Description
Type Fountain Pen
Product Name Phileas
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, France – this is the version of the Phileas that came out in the mid to late 1990s.
Length 5-1/4" capped.
Filling System Takes international style refills, or you can fill it with bottled ink via a converter. We will include a Waterman cartridge, but no converter.
Color Deep red marble with swirls of black. Gold colored trim. Black end pieces and a black piece below the cap ring.
Nib Right Oblique steel nib by Binder (see writing sample below). The nib is marked L. The gold colored masking is either worn off or was removed during the nib grinding. The "right foot oblique" nibs are considered to be best for left handed writers, but in general it will write well for most people if they pay attention to how the nib is oriented.
Condition Excellent condition. The rich contrasting colors and shine create a very elegant appearance. The barrel and cap have some scratching, more on the cap than the barrel. The endpiece of the barrel has quite a few light scratch marks. The trim and clip have some light scratching but still look very beautiful. The endpiece of the cap is great. Imprints are clear. No cracks, dings, chips or personalization.
