Product Description
Type Vintage mechanical pencil
Product Name Red Ripple ... we're not certain which fountain pen went with this pencil, but our best guess is that it is the mate to a ripple 52, 53, or 54 pens which were all more or less the same size.
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, USA, 1920s
Length 5-9/16"
Filling System Takes thick style (1.1mm) leads. Lead extends in the traditional, twist mechanism, but you may have to push it with your finger to make it retract. We'll include a small pack of leads. When you unscrew the top, you can remove the metal tube that holds the eraser and spare leads.
Color Mottled red hard rubber in the "Red Ripple" design, with gold plated trim.
Condition Excellent + condition. There are no visible flaws on the body of the pencil. The tip and ball of clip have some plating wear. The imprints are clear. There is also a clear personalization, "B.C. Hartman" on the cap. It is not very deep and could probably be removed. The eraser on the lead holder is like new but it is very hard and won't erase anything.
