Filling System Lever filler - excellent working condition with a new sac.
Color Grey in a marbled pattern that is vaguely stripey. The trim is gold plated. There is a single thin cap band.
Nib Fine 14k nib is marked "Watermans IDEAL 14K 2A" is semi-flexible. If you are looking for flex that is easy to write with on an every day basis, these 1940s Watermans can't be beat in terms of flex-per-dollar. Line variation from fine to medium-broad. Please see writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks, chips, or dents. This is a shiny, silky pen with beautiful coloring and in a classic design. The cap and barrel have moderate wear. The barrel has marks caused by the cap lip. There are tooth marks at the end of the barrel. The lever has brassing and some touches of plating wear around the tab end. The thin cap band has scratching and some plating wear. The clip has some plating wear along the edges and around the open end. The imprints are clear.
The barrel is personalized with the name "O. Amaru" - it's double-stamped, with the two imprints slightly offset and reversed. Only one has gold paint in it.
