Product Description
Type Vintage fountain pen
Product Name Unknown, this full size pen looks a bit like the Stalwart, or the English W2 pens, though the nib is labeled "Waterman's Hundred Year Pen ACCOUNT", so someone must have switched out the original nib at some point. The Stalwart and Hundred Year Pen models were made around the same time period. There's no barrel imprint.
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, US or UK - 1940s
Length 5-1/16"
Filling System Lever filler, restored with a new sac and working very well.
Color Black. The trim is gold plated or filled, with 2 narrow cap bands.
Nib Extra-Fine firm nib. This is an accountant nib from a Hundred Year Pen, so it's not original to this model; the two models were contemporaneous.
Condition Excellent condition. The cap and barrel have light wear. There is a tiny 1/8" long crack in the barrel that runs from the little slot for the end of the lever bar towards the end. It does not affect the pen's function. The lever has multiple spots of large pits - they're not like anything we've seen before, they look like spots on a leopard! The rest of the lever housing looks good. The end of the barrel has scratching and some bite marks. The cap has moderate scratching. The double cap bands have microscratching and brassing. The clip has plating wear along the sides. The clip rivet is brassed.
