Product Description
Type Lever-fill fountain pen
Product Name Stalwart is the name you see on the larger size of this pen in late 1940s ads, and this smaller size they called the "Starlet."
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, Canada - late 1940s
Length 4-5/8"
Filling System Lever-filler. We have replaced the sac and tested the system, and it's working well.
Color Gray marbled, with silver colored trim, and a single thin cap band.
Nib 14k nib is marked "Watermans IDEAL Canada 14k" and is medium-fine and very flexible, what we consider to be almost full flex. Please see writing sample. It flexes easily and gives line variation from fine to double broad. See writing sample below.
Condition Very nice condition. The barrel and cap have microscratching and handwear, but no bite marks or deep scratches. The barrel color underneath the cap is slightly different than the rest of the barrel. Some brassing and plating wear on the trim and general handwear. The nib is in excellent condition with lots of tipping material. Imprint is a bit worn in the middle, but still easily readable.
