Product Description
Type Vintage lever filling fountain pen.
Product Name The model might be "Diamond Medal" as that is on the nib. Webster was a less than top tier maker, and this is one of their nicer pens in a small size. It's got a gold colored dot below the clip, and we're not sure if that indicates something about the model.
Manufacturer and Year Webster, Chicago (this was one of the National Pen companies) – circa 1920s-30s.
Length 5-1/16"
Filling System Twist filler. You twist the knob clockwise and then release the knob to take in ink. You can find a nice explanation about the filling system here. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working well.
Color Striated green celluloid. This pen is reminiscent of a Sheaffer with military clip, while the striated pattern resembles the Parker "shadow wave" design. It It has a dot on the cap and a military-style clip. The stripes are almost like paint strokes.
Nib Medium 14k nib is smooth and firm. The nib reads, "Webster Diamond Medal 14k."
Condition Excellent condition with handwear and a bit of plating wear on the cap band. The patterning is great and there are no dents, chips, cracks, or bite marks. The clip has been personalized, "E.M.B." The pen is fully restored and working very well.
